The Berkeley City Council voted unanimously in favor of the Toxic Links Coalition's resolution to declare October "Stop Cancer Where It Starts" month.

There was another success in our October 2000 movement: On October 24, The Marin County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution declaring October as "Stop Cancer Where it Starts/
Beyond Breast Cancer Awareness" Month.

Congratulations to Marin Breast Cancer Watch and others for their work in getting another resolution passed!


The Oakland Unified School District has passed an integrated pest management plan, which means that prevention will be the approach to pest problems. For details, read the press release.
